I've determined that marathon mode is MUCH slower here (or at least feels it) than in CivIV. dx9? Haven't run the dx9, but the massive kick in the balls that diplomacy screens deliver to the GPU fan is both hilarious and worrisome. No crashes yet, but is there that big of a difference between the dx10-11 vs. Getting irritated with all of these little niggling bad UI interactions. Guess that's one way to avoid the confusion of not knowing what route they picked. My workers have apparently decided not to build a route-to like I ordered them and are asking for new orders. (and, annoyingly, clicking on it doesn't jump to offering the arrangement) It went away with Ghandi, having accepted his offer, though, so I guess it must indicate a potential arrangement. Ok, don't see why I wouldn't want to do that ever, then.Īlso, confusingly, "OPEN BORDERS" is listed with the arabs in the diplomatic summary even though I can't offer it to them as far as I can tell, nor do I have it with them. So what did the pact of co-operation grant me, exactly? Guess that "OPEN BORDERS" in the diplomatic window with Ghandi just indicated that I could offer it, not that I had it, since he just offered me it. If I try to issue orders quickly, I get the "impassible terrain" icon wherever I drag.Īnother! Remember how I was annoyed when I selected a unit it wouldn't show the unit's movement path? Much more annoying when I have a worker in route-to mode, since I'd like to know where exactly they're planning on laying those roads en-route. When I select a unit, there's a brief pause between when I select it and when I can issue it move orders.

Not the most efficient way to look it up, but that tells me what I need.Īnother minor movement gripe. Well, my foreign advisor mentions it as one of her bits of "Advice". It would be embarrasing to capture the wrong city. How can I view outstanding city-state missions? Either Genoa wants Oslo dead or Oslo wants Genoa dead, but I can't recall which.
